We feel beyond fortunate to still be in business, just like everyone whose business survived 2020! So grateful! Gratitude has been a theme, the outcome of getting so much done to support our business.
The developer to thank is Lars Peterson, of Peterson Digital, LLC. He converted our Spanish Reading program from running on flash into HTML. Huge feat! Then tackled the infrastructure of the website and account management system. Brilliantly, he has all of that on an API he customized to accommodate all the specifics for running Lee con Ángel. Not to mention that he developed new games, and added 2 new eBooks to our library, making 28 stories in Spanish!
Teamwork and good communication has been crucial. Guess you could say we made good use of our time during quarantine to get as much done as possible. Now the real question is, how do we reach those who are interested in subscribing to an online Spanish Reading program for kids?
Lee con Ángel is not an app. It's more than a game, its a whole lot of literacy skills put into a fun, interactive, musical Spanish experience for children ages 4-9. Look at the classroom redesign below and notice the new updates. The program is better than ever!
What sets Lee con Ángel apart is the flexibility of having each icon link to a game, song or activity, acting as an open menu. However, the icons also "wiggle" to prompt the user to “Click me!” which lead the child on a learning path developing skills from easy to more complex. Kids can repeat stories, listen to song again or pause them.
Attention to every detail makes Lee con Ángel intuitive for young users, as well as engaging. Spanish speaking children who are developing literacy benefit from time on this program to improve fluency, phonemic awareness and comprehension skills. Dual language students in PreK-3rd grade can also improve vocabulary, pronunciation and comprehension of written and spoken Spanish when using Lee con Ángel.
